Serving North Rapid for over 55 Years
Rapid City, South Dakota
The North Rapid Civic Association (NRCA) has been a part of Rapid City for over 55 years. It is a non-profit organization whose members are concerned with improving the Rapid City area especially the North Rapid area and making it a safer, and more enjoyable place to live. NRCA meets at 7:00 pm on the fourth Thursday of every month in the training room of the new General Beadle School at the corner of North Maple and Van Buren Street. (If you are not real sure where General Beadle School is, use the handy map tool below.) Visitors and the curious are always welcome so feel free to drop in on a meeting. Usually there is a guest speaker but there is always time to express any concerns a person might have for Rapid City. We are also usually honored to have Representative Mark Kirkeby and Senator Napoli attend when they are in town, as well as County Commissioner Nancy Trautman and several of the City Council Members. NRCA also has a monthly newsletter with a brief overview of the last meeting and articles which might be of interest to the average reader. We work closely with ACE in trying to clean up the area and beautify Rapid City. |

2007 Annual Picnic
October, 2008 The month of October is a very busy month. On October 21st, we have the Town Hall Meeting. It should be interesting so please plan to attend. On October 23rd, we have the October NRCA Meeting at General Beadle School in the Training Room. Everyone is invited so plan to drop in and see what NRCA is all about. Then, on October 27th, we have the Candidates Forum at 7:00 in the General Beadle Commons Room. Again everyone is invited and the Forums are usually well attended. This is a chance for you to ask a candidate questions. Since many people are sometimes a little shy in front of a group of people, you can write out your questions and the moderator of the Forum will present them to the Candidates. Also, on November 4th, please remember to vote.
